Scientific Name: Carijoa species

Description: Another group of soft corals seen by divers and snorkelers at the Bluff are octocorals. Each polyp on an octocoral has eight hollow tentacles fringed with little branches called pinnules. This feature distinguishes octocorals from hard corals, which have simple tentacles in multiples of six.
