Tube Sponge
Scientific Name: Callyspongia species
Description: Callyspongia are a group of tube-like sponges that are usually subtidal and only occasionally seen during extreme low tides under ledges.
Like all sponges, these animals are filter feeders and strain their food (plankton and detritus) from the seawater through pores in their surfaces, and a network of internal canals.
