Tangled Lignum
Species Name: Duma florulenta
Description: This greyish shrub to 2 metres high has a tangle of almost leafless wiry branches, often making it the tallest plant in areas of saltmarsh and the perfect refuge for small birds. Tangled Lignum has a deep root system and clusters of yellow-green flowers most of the year. A much under-rated salt marsh plant.
