Swamp Wallaby

Scientific Name: Wallabia bicolor
Wadawurrung Name: go-yin

Description: The Swamp Wallaby is a small macro-pod marsupial found across eastern Australia. They feed on the leaves of shrubs, ferns and grasses. Mostly spotted around dusk, however are more active during the day than other wallaby species. It is the only species in the genus Wallabia.
