Killer Whale / Orca

Scientific Name: Orcinus orca

Description: Easily recognised by its striking black and white colouring, the Killer Whale is a regular visitor to Victorian coasts and has been recorded in the Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary. An aggressive predator, Killer Whales hunt in social groups and are known to attack prey as large as whales whilst also feeding on fish and smaller mammals like seals.
