Marblefish

Scientific Name: Aplodactylus arctidens

Description: Also known as Sea Carp these large fish are regularly seen on local reefs and are easy to identify by there mottled grey bodies with white patches.

These fish mainly graze on algae (mostly reds) and also consumes small invertebrates living amongst algae.

They are considered a very poor food fish with flesh described as “coarse with a rank flavor”.
