Brittle Stars

Description: With long slender arms, Brittle Stars are mostly nocturnal animals where they feed on organic material on the seafloor, whilst during the day they are often found under rocks . They can shed the ends of their arms and some Brittle Stars bio-luminesce as a decoy for predators.
