Description: Regularly sighted along the Barwon Estuary the Australian Pelican is a large social bird that often works together with others to capture fish and invertebrates from the estuary and shallow areas of the Marine Sanctuary. Australian Pelicans breed at Mud Islands in Port Phillip Bay.
