The Department of Primary Industries, Marine and Freshwater Systems Platform provides educational services through its Marine Discovery Centre in Queenscliff.

Promoting conservation by increasing awareness and understanding of the marine and coastal environment.

The marine environment of Southern Australia is unique. The Marine Discovery Centre celebrates this unique diversity by allowing people to see these amazing habitats and their animals and plants for themselves.

The Centre and its activities, stimulates visitors to learn more - we want people to leave the Centre asking more questions than when they arrived. The real aim of the centre's programs are that they inspire and enable people to explore and understand the sea and the coast first hand.
