The Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary stretches from near the base of the stairs at the bottom of the Bluff carpark (27W marker) to the west of the base of the stairs on the '13th beach' side of the Bluff (28W marker).

The Marine Sanctuary boundaries are marked with large yellow triangles that point in towards the Marine Sanctuary.
On the west side of the Marine Sanctuary, there are two triangles aligned to the boundary. To locate this boundary at sea, the two triangles should sit one above the other in a direct line of sight.
