This landscape artwork was commissioned by Barwon Coast Committee of Management and the Lions Club of Ocean Grove - Barwon Heads, to provide a community focus and involvement in our coastal environment.

Kolo:oit celebrates the natural, cultural and historical heritage of Barwon Heads. The design is a representation of the river, ocean and headland.

The Aboriginal clans who lived in the area, Moa:Moart and Bengali, belonged to the Wathaurong language group. Today descendants and custodians form part of the Kulin nation of South Eastern Australia. Where possible Wathaurong words have been used alongside English words.
