(above) Ozone Street Jetty or the Little Jetty, was constructed in 1911. The left photograph was taken about the time of construction and on the right, as it is in 2002.

(above) The Orungal ran aground on Formby Reef on 21  November 1940 and caught fire overnight on 13 December 1940. The ship was completely stripped by 'Whelan The Wrecker', all that remains today are the boilers that still can be seen at low tide
